As we at handcraftcool we have spoken several times, EVE is one of the most veritable and simple textures to work with, today we will explain to you that we want to enter this world of craftsmanship, how to start doing step by step
Today we at Handcraft Cool will introduce you to a very beautiful craft work technique that can earn you various compliments. It is an easy and practical EVA crafts to do in a few hours. Learn how to do step by step and make this crafts at home as well.
Materials needed:
EVA
Hot glue or instant glue
Cardboard or paper
Scissors
Circular mould
If you do a simple Google search, or in physical stores specializing in EVA decoration you will find thousands of flower molds in EVA. So, of the items I mentioned above you will only need to have the scissors, after all the imagination you can leave saved and get the idea ready.
These molds serve for you to cut out the EVA in the correct way, just place the mold on the entire piece of EVA, which is sold per meter, and mark with a pencil or pen, then you cut over the line made. Another option is to place the mold on the piece and scratch over the mold lines, the mark will stay on the EVA.
This way it is interesting because some lines of the mold are not on the sides, but in the middle. A flower, for example, has the petals, but also has the middle of the flower, just scratch a little stronger that the mark will stay in the EVA.
Crafts with EVA step by step
For starters, cut a piece of paper or cardboard into circular shape with the help of any circular mold. It can be a cup, a cup, a lid or whatever you have to create the mold. Do it and transfer to EVA by cutting 2x.
The bottom should be a little tougher, so glue the two circular EVAs you cut. If you’re doing it with a cardboard mold, you can also past it by overlapping the circular EVAs you pasted. This will help to make the bottom of the decorative teapot even more resistant.
With the background you made with the EVAs and cardboard, cut a piece of colored EVA to make the “body” of your teapot. Make the correct measurement and cut a piece with the length and height suitable for your garnish. Then just wrap the EVA around it while sticking with the glue.
Use this handle you made to fix the upper body that was loose. To do this, attach the top two ends of the EVA you are making to the body and use the handle to secure the two parts by pasting the handle. The cool is to glue the entire part that is exposed on the connecting part of the EVA body and use the handle to reinforce the bond.
Cut a strip of EVA of 15 cm by 3 cm wide at the beginning and decreasing towards the end, which will be approximately 1.5 cm. One side will be straight, the other side should have a wave-like finish. Place the sheet of paper over the E.V.A. strip and iron it with a hot iron, so the E.V.A. is very soft. You will roll this strip starting from the narrowest part.
You can finish by folding the side a little bit outwards, to give the prettiest effect of the rose petals. Glue the final end on the inside. Cut out the green E.V.A. in the shape of leaves and glue it around the rose you made. You can put a green straw to be the stem of the rose or you can leave it this way to glue on some surface, just for the rose to serve as decoration.
